About Us

Candy Jarr is a fun yet casual group with a love for candy and creativity. In order to join you'll need a Candy Character, and from there you can participate in various activities, events and challenges, as well as interact, draw, and write with fellow members.

We're perfect for writers, artists, roleplayers, and members of all ages. Our group does not penalize members for being inactive or unable to participate all the time, as we understand that life happens and interests change faster than the seasons. We do however have various activities and reward systems in place for those who are looking for a more interactive and engaging experience. We work hard to provide variety for our members, and look forward to seeing what you create!

Keep in mind that we're a loosely PG-13 group, meaning all official group content(applications, shops, memes, activities, journals, and everything that we link in journals) should be PG-13 friendly. We do however allow mature themes, so long as it's kept within the "Mature" folder in our gallery.

Setting

Candy-Jarr takes place in a whimsical world made of candy, specifically on the atoll island country named Jarr. The island itself is completely surrounded by salty oceans and is rather large in size. Inhabitants come here from all over the globe for a fresh start and new beginnings.The island serves as a sanctuary or a wonderful place to retire for candies from all walks of life.

Outside of its capital city of Domoko, the island itself is incredibly under developed, with much of the candy crusted terrain remaining unexplored. The Candy Coal Train track runs along the length of the island, making a stop in each established town found within the regions. In the singular small town can be found in each of the regions outside the city, composed of a post office, bus stop, police station, and the occasional small shops ran by local residents.

Transportation

There are very few cars on the island of Jarr! The island is quite new to being inhabited, and personal transportation such as character owned vehicles are very limited. Though scooters, motorcycles and bicycles are not uncommon, the most affordable and efficient way to get around this island is through it's stellar public transportation, such as the Candy Coal Train or Bubblegum Buses. These public services offer free transportation to those who have places they need to be, and their friendly staff is always happy to help. Taffy Taxis are also available, but for a small fee. The only way on and off the island is via boat or a small up and coming airport. The only known harbor and airport are found in Domoko City, where visitors and future residents alike must pass through a security checkpoint.

Law Enforcement

Stop, in the name of the law! Jarr law enforcement works day and night to keep their peaceful island safe. While most of the busy excitement happens in Domoko City, at least one officer can be found in each location, protecting and keeping the peace. Most officers are armed with a bubblegum gun and badge, and are the only known citizens permitted to carry firearms.

Electricity

Most things on Jarr seem to be driven by some invisible force; for everything else, there's candy crystals! Functioning similar to the modern day battery, candy crystals are harvested from candy mines, and are packed with so much sugar and caffeine that it will keep the lights lit for many years to come! Smaller crystals can be used to power phones and other mobile devices, while larger crystals can be found in place of a home's fuse box. They can be expensive, but are guaranteed to last for quite some time.

Wildlife

Jarr is filled with strange and exciting candy creatures, from wild gummy bears to creatures we've never even heard of! Some of these species have yet to be discovered, but most of the wildlife native to Jarr is friendly and non-threatening. While hunting and unauthorized transit of wildlife is illegal on the island, fishing in the rough waters around Jarr is a rather large part of the island’s economy.
